Jeune et alerte vétéran de la scène chambriste française, le Quatuor Debussy est parvenu, en dix-neuf ans d’existence et d’aventures musicales, à s’imposer par une volonté permanente de se renouveler et de surprendre. Dans leur nouveau projet, “les“ Debussy revisitent l’œuvre la plus célèbre de Mozart. Sous leurs doigts, le Requiem revit dans une transcription magnifique (pour quatuor à cordes) réalisée en 1802 par Peter Lichtenthal. A l’origine du projet : la découverte par hasard d’un manuscrit en piteux état dans les rayons de la bibliothèque du Conservatoire de Milan et, à l’arrivée, la révélation d’un véritable trésor. Un Requiem « en concentré » où le désespoir, la foi en la vie, l’effroi de la mort et les mille fulgurances de Mozart s’expriment dans un paroxysme d’émotion, de tension, de subtilité et de sensualité. Avec Christophe Collette (violon 1), Dorian Lamotte (violon 2), Vincent Deprecq (alto) et Alain Brunier (violoncelle).
