Il y a un petit peu plus de vingt ans, Jean-Philippe Audoli (1er violon),
Elenid Owen (2ème violon),
Padrig Fauré (alto) et
Anne Copéry (violoncelle) donnaient naissance au Quatuor Ludwig. Son exemplaire parcours a depuis lors été marqué par de nombreuses réalisations discographiques repérées par la critique internationale, le plus souvent consacrées à la musique française : Chausson, Jehan Alain (qui leur a valu le Grand prix du Disque Lyrique) ou encore Honegger pour une intégrale des quatuors récompensée par le Grand prix de l’Académie du Disque Français et le Grand prix International du disque de l’Académie Charles Cros. Après plusieurs expériences récentes de rencontres transdisciplinaires – avec le chorégraphe et danseur Jean Guizerix, l’astro-physicien Hubert Reeves ou encore les comédiens Michel Bouquet, Marie-Christine Barrault ou Jean-François Balmer- , le Quatuor Ludwig nous revient dans une formule plus traditionnelle de concert. Leur programme rassemble trois œuvres majeures et essentielles : Le Quatuor « La jeune fille et la mort » de Schubert et les Quatuors de Ravel et Debussy.
