QUATUORS A CORDES / NOGENT / LOUVRE
Réunis en 1985, les Ludwig, toujours sur la brèche, apparaissent aujourd’hui (déjà !) comme des pionniers du renouveau du quatuor en France. En se formant à l’étranger (ils furent le premier ensemble français à obtenir une bourse pour étudier dans une université américaine, celle de Yale), en puisant leur science chambriste auprès des plus grands artistes internationaux (quatuors Berg, Tokyo, Amadeus, LaSalle, etc) et en se consacrant à des projets transversaux (danse, astro-physique, théâtre, etc), ils ouvrirent bien des horizons aux générations suivantes… Parmi leurs continuateurs, le tout jeune Quatuor Ebène, issu de la classe du quatuor Ysaye au CNSM, 1er prix en 2004 du concours international de l’ARD à Münich et avide d’aventures musicales plurielles, comme encore récemment en compagnie de Bernard Lavilliers au Châtelet. Les deux carrés français sont en concert : le Quatuor Ludwig à la Scène Watteau dans des œuvres d’Ivan Jevtic, Chostakovitch (Quatuor n° 8 op. 110 en do mineur) et Schubert (Quatuor « La jeune fille et la mort » D 810), le Quatuor Ebène à l’auditorium du Louvre dans Mozart (Divertimento en si bémol majeur K137), Mendelssohn (Quatuor en la mineur opus 13) et Beethoven (Quatuor en ut dièse mineur opus 131).
