« On garde ou on jette »… La révolution française. Nietzsche. Mai 68. Et Le Capital. Et les Droits de l’homme. Et l’Art conceptuel. Fouinant au milieu d’un beau fatras de bouquins reliés tout cuir, un couple de pétulants quinquagénaires pioche au hasard et fait fébrilement le tri parmi les gros volumes de la pensée occidentale. Leur vie ronronnait pourtant tranquillement jusqu’alors, chacun vaquant à son ouvrage dans la cuisine toute équipée standard, lui au bricolage et elle à la popote, partage du travail sexué oblige… Sauf qu’entre le marché et l’hyper, madame a déniché un vieux livre qui raille d’un coup sec la routine patinée à force d’habitude. « Maintenant donc (…), je m’appliquerai sérieusement et avec liberté à détruire généralement toutes mes anciennes opinions. » : Descartes, Méditations métaphysiques. Radical… Aussitôt dit, voilà les deux candides bibliophages qui exhument les grands textes et œuvres d’art du XXe siècle sagement alignés sur une palette en bois et entreprennent de les examiner à l’aune d’une critique sans références, bidouillée avec leur petit outillage pratique.
Deux comédiens en verve
Beuys, Deleuze, Kant, Maupassant, Marx, Rancière ou encore Vaneighem… En écho à We are l’Europe, texte déjà travaillé avec le metteur en scène Benoît Lambert, l’auteur et artiste multiforme Jean-Charles Massera a composé cet inventaire tonique qui requinque quelques utopies émancipatrices enterrées sous le pragmatisme des molles résignations. En scène, nos Bouvard et Pécuchet improvisés dévorent ou picorent des fragments qu’ils nous livrent avec une moue dubitative et un enthousiasme enfiévré. Au fil de leurs lectures, ils recousent à leur manière, c’est-à-dire approximative, un peu de traviole, les faits, les pensées et les héritages avec leur réalité présente. Désarmant les savantes arguties, leur amateurisme de bonne foi et leur désir de comprendre pour agir tournent à la comédie contestataire. Martine Schambacher et François Chattot, comédiens de forte trempe, se lancent dans le jeu avec ferveur et laissent cavaler leur fantaisie. Plus de cent ans après la parution du célèbre traité politique de Lénine, Que faire ? (le retour) montre aussi que, face aux contradictions du néolibéralisme et de la postmodernité, la question, à défaut de solution, reste toujours active…
