On ne présente plus Babson, autrement dit Ousmane Sy, figure incontournable du hip hop depuis les années 1990. Sacré champion du monde avec les Wanted Posse lors du Battle of the year en 2001, il s’est ensuite détaché du collectif pour fonder en 2012 Paradox-Sal, groupe exclusivement féminin, puis deux ans plus tard All 4 House. C’est avec cette structure qu’il œuvre au déploiement du style qui fonde son identité de danseur virtuose : la house dance, une des danses dites « debout » de la famille des danses hip hop, aux jeux de jambes impressionnants. Queen Blood rassemble en une création les questionnements que le chorégraphe porte au sein de ses structures et dans son enseignement : la quête d’une écriture et d’une composition singulières pour la house danse, et la recherche autour des gestuelles et des énergies féminines. Elles sont sept reines à venir de tous les styles du hip hop, et à se glisser dans ce ballet urbain en mode afro-house, entre légèreté et ancrage pulsionnel.
