Qu’est-ce que le théâtre ?

« Avec le dramaturge Hervé Blutsch, nous avons voulu nous emparer de toutes sortes de questions encombrantes à travers une forme légère. Nous avons imaginé une sorte de faux séminaire de remise en forme où les gens viendraient obtenir des réponses aux questions qu’ils se posent sur le théâtre. Deux comédiens déconstruisent un certain nombre de clichés sur le théâtre public, et racontent avec légèreté deux ou trois choses de notre discipline et de nos pratiques. En quoi venir au théâtre est-il une expérience intimidante ? Est-ce parce que c’est un art de la parole et que la parole fait peur ? La “haute culture“ serait-elle ennuyeuse, dépressive voire culpabilisante ? Les théâtres sont-ils un repaire de gauchistes ? Est-on mal assis ? A-t-on le droit de partir avant la fin ? Certains clichés sont tenaces malgré la variété de ce qui est proposé sur nos scènes ! La pièce facétieuse vise surtout à rassurer le public et à le convaincre de venir. »
