C’est en tandem que Yanka Pedron et Bouside Aït-Atmane ont fondé la compagnie XY. Mais c’est ce dernier qui signe la chorégraphie de R1R2START, pièce pour cinq danseurs où l’on reconnaît tout de même ce qui avait fait l’originalité de leur association : une jolie dose d’humour dans un univers profondément hip hop et virtuose. Le spectacle commence pourtant tout à fait sérieusement, et l’on admire l’état de corps, le travail de bras et la présence des danseurs dans une ouverture abstraite, qui rappelle la rigueur des programmes informatiques. Celle-ci laisse place à une fantaisie directement puisée dans l’univers des jeux vidéo, dont on reconnaîtra les plus fameux personnages. Les références sont multiples, et l’on balaye l’air de rien trente ans de cette culture populaire en un voyage à portée de manette.
