« Là au plus intime de nos liens familiaux, nous goûtons à quelque chose de plus grand que nous, à la saveur unique, celle de la puissance de la vie : la force d’être ensemble » relève Delphine Bentolila, la metteuse en scène, qui ajoute : « Nous voulons raconter collectivement ce qui nous émerveille individuellement : notre capacité à poursuivre notre existence, à résister, non plus malgré nos deuils, non plus contre ce qui nous hante mais avec eux ». La trame de ce conte théâtral écrit au plateau sur la base d’un long travail d’improvisation repose sur le personnage d’Anthony, à la fois narrateur à la mémoire trouble et personnage troublé par le passé, hanté par la figure d’une perte. Au service de sa mémoire, les autres acteurs tentent de raconter et de revivre le mariage de sa sœur Lou avec Rachel. « Il faudra bien que la noce se fasse, il faudra bien que l’on danse… »
