C’est un retour aux sources, en rien un retour à la case départ. Au Congo, sa terre natale que Ray Lema quitta en 1979. Là où il a débuté son épopée dans le monde des musiques, où il s’était illustré lors des offices religieux, dans le rock made in USA, puis dans les grands ensembles de Kinshasa, à commencer par ceux de Tabu Ley Rochereau et Franco… C’était avant de s’envoler pour un long voyage, tel que symbolisé par « Kinshasa-Washington DC-Paris » en 1983. Trois décennies plus tard, revoilà le visionnaire qui éclaira mieux que quiconque le fameux global mix. Ray Lema, chercheur de sons, mute en dénicheur de talents, avec « Station Congo » où il réunit tous ceux qui font le son du Congo en 2012 : tradi-modernes et jeunes rappeurs, adeptes de la rumba et convertis au n’dombolo… Tous unis derrière le patron.
