STUDIO DE L’ERMITAGE / JAZZ
Après une carte blanche à la Petite Halle à l’automne dernier, le pianiste congolais Ray Lema vient éclairer notre printemps avec cette soirée exceptionnelle autour de son nouvel album. La musique de « Transcendance » sonne comme un précipité de tous ses amours et expériences musicales plurielles, de la chanson à la musique classique, du rap au jazz, des Caraïbes à l’Afrique. Le titre éponyme est un hommage endiablé au père de l’afro beat, son ami Fela Kuti. Neuf pièces inédites de sa plume sont au programme de l’album, livrées à un sextet de haut vol qu’on aura le bonheur de retrouver sur scène, avec Ray Lema en personne (piano et voix), Michel Alibo (basse), Sylvain Gontard (trompette), Rodrigo Viana (guitares), et en invités sur le titre rêveur « Chimères » les flûtes de Fredy Massamba et Jocelyn Mienniel.
