OPERA EN VERSION DE CONCERT / OPERA ROYAL DU CHATEAU DE VERSAILLES
Avant leur Phaeton de Lully (1683) à Pleyel (le 25 octobre, voir plus bas), les mêmes Talens Lyriques et leur chef seront aussi à retrouver en octobre sur la scène majestueuse de l’Opéra Royal du Château de Versailles. Ils proposent un bond en avant de cent ans dans l’histoire de la musique française avec une autre interprétation d’opéra en version de concert : Renaud ou la Suite d’Armide. Composé en 1783, l’ouvrage est de la plume d’Antonio Sacchini, grand talent napolitain fortement soutenu par Marie-Antoinette lors de son arrivée à Paris en 1781 (il y mourra 5 ans plus tard), après de triomphales années londoniennes où il était considéré comme le successeur de Haendel. En attendant un enregistrement de Renaud par Rousset et ses troupes, annoncé en 2013, on pourra en apprendre davantage sur ce compositeur très peu connu des mélomanes français en plongeant dans Antonio Sacchini (1730-1786), Un musicien de Marie-Antoinette, biographie de Georges Sauvé parue en 2007 chez Adrien De Vries.
