Les Rencontres de danses de la Toussaint fêtent leurs quarante ans. Quarante ans de stages, de spectacles, de découvertes, au cours d’un rendez-vous qui ne ressemble à aucun autre : indifférent aux effets de mode et aux esthétiques dominantes, mais attentif à la générosité des démarches – et, tout particulièrement, à la scène jazz, qui trouve dans ce festival l’un de ses rares lieux de visibilité. Pour cet anniversaire marquant, l’équipe de la MJC-Théâtre souhaitait inviter tous les artistes ayant participé à l’aventure, et leur passer commande d’un événement inédit, sur la base de leurs souvenirs colombiens… Las ! Les finances sont à la baisse, et il a fallu renoncer à ce beau projet.
Cours le jour, spectacle le soir
Ce qui est préservé en revanche, c’est la vitalité de la programmation. Des stages tout d’abord : contemporain avec Corinne Lanselle et Serge Ricci, jazz avec Patrice Valéro, modern’jazz avec Alain Gruttadauria et Bruce Taylor. Après chacune de ces intenses journées de pratique, le public est convié à une soirée de spectacle. Le 25 octobre, cinq danseurs dialoguent avec un organiste et une création vidéo interactive dans Entrelacs, de Lionel Hoche. Le 26, Sosana Marcelino et Julie Dossavi racontent, au cours d’une soirée partagée, le rapport que chacune d’entre elles entretient à un ailleurs : pays d’origine pour Sosana Marcelino (So’), cérémoniaux africains et rythmes traditionnels mêlés à la danse contemporaine et aux répertoires électroniques pour Julie Dossavi (Mi lè Doun)… Le 27, Bruce Taylor invente avec quatre danseurs un hommage au pop art : Supreme, qui célèbre la liberté d’expression. Quant à la soirée de lancement, le 24 octobre, elle mêlera à plaisir le corps et la voix, avec les (cinq) interprètes du Quartet Buccal.
