C’est désormais un rendez-vous qui fait partie de la vie des Albertivillariens. Chaque année, durant près de deux semaines, les Rencontres Ici et Là partent à la rencontre des habitants d’Aubervilliers, les invitant à découvrir « un théâtre autrement », un théâtre « qui multiplie les rendez-vous avec les artistes en toute convivialité ». Ainsi, d’un chapiteau à un atelier d’artiste, du cinéma Le Studio au plateau de La Commune, ces Rencontres investissent toutes sortes de lieux et de quartiers, afin de raconter des histoires au plus grand nombre et de porter la création artistique et théâtrale là où elle n’est habituellement pas attendue.
Un souci constant de démocratisation culturelle
Pour cette sixième édition, le programme de cette quinzaine se révèle comme toujours vivant et éclectique : Théâtre de marionnettes (… à la bougie,de la Compagnie Garin Troussebœuf), théâtre d’objets (Le Piano – sculpturOpéra,du metteur en scène et plasticien Gilbert Peyre), arts du cirque (Un cirque plus juste et Une séance peu ordinaire, du Finlandais Jani Nuutinen, Le voyage de Penazar, avec Catherine Germain), théâtre déambulatoire (La Cité utopique, parcours-installation réalisé par des adolescents, dans le cadre d’un atelier théâtral mené par la Compagnie Méliadès), après-midi réunissant plusieurs spectacles de magie. Dans un souci constant de démocratisation culturelle, les Rencontres Ici et Là œuvrent à ce que « des liens nouveaux se tissent entre citoyens et artistes, et que tous, y compris les jeunes et les personnes en situation d’exclusion sociale (…) puissent s’approprier le théâtre comme un acte de résistance ».
