Georges Zeisel, directeur de ProQuartet définit son festival comme une « véritable
plate-forme de lancement pour jeunes ensembles de talent ». Cette nouvelle
programmation invite en effet, une fois encore, à la découverte de nombreux
jeunes quatuors européens dans un large répertoire qui accorde cette année une
place de choix à la musique contemporaine. Les Suisses du Quatuor Gémeaux, le
11, et les Tchèques du Quatuor Haas, le 12, avec la complicité du pianiste
Jonathan Gilad (réinvité le lendemain en récital dans Chopin à 18h), donnent le
coup d’envoi du festival. À signaler, entre beaucoup d’autres rendez-vous, une
soirée « tango » défendue par Eckart Runge, violoncelliste du Quatuor Artemis
(le 20 à 18h) et trois journées spéciales consacrées à des compositeurs : Eric
Tanguy entouré des musiciens du Quatuor Amadeo Modigliani, le 26 mai ; Sophie
Lacaze, le 2 juin, avec la création de la Musique de la Mer, pour clarinette,
basson, quatuor à cordes et ch?ur d’enfants, et enfin, le 3, Philippe
Boesmans avec ses amis et compatriotes belges du Quatuor Alfama qui joueront en
particulier son sublime Quatuor « Summer Dreams » composé en 1994.
