MUSIQUES ASHKÉNAZES / THÉÂTRE DEJAZET
En écho à la nuit de Cristal du 9 au 10 novembre 1938 lors de laquelle se déchaîna un pogrom contre les juifs d’une telle violence que les rues du Reich allemand furent jonchées de morceaux de verre, ce magnifique concert se propose de « réparer le verre brisé ». Une réparation qui choisit le langage universel et sensible de la musique pour promouvoir le dialogue entre cultures, pour mettre en lumière une splendide tradition méconnue, victime de nombreuses destructions au cours de l’histoire, pour rappeler aussi que le patrimoine culturel juif matériel ou immatériel s’est manifesté de multiples manières en Europe depuis… le haut Moyen Âge, et même l’Antiquité. Le pluralisme culturel et religieux en France n’est donc pas une nouveauté. Accompagné de projections et explications historiques, le concert est porté par Sofia Falkovitch, née à Moscou et aujourd’hui parisienne, première femme cantor formée et diplômée en Europe. Au programme, des chants de la tradition liturgique juive ashkénaze pour voix, orgue et chœur mixte, ainsi qu’un florilège de poèmes complétés par des musiques non-liturgiques et issues du folklore yiddish.
