ILE SEGUIN / CLUB
La métamorphose de l’Île Seguin, sur l’ancien site des usines Renault à Boulogne-Billancourt, n’est pas terminée et nous réserve encore de jolies surprises ! Un nouveau club de jazz vient d’y voir le jour dans l’ombre de la prestigieuse Seine Musicale : le Nubia. Son initiateur n’est autre que le grand bassiste Richard Bona à qui l’on doit déjà le Bonafide, né en 2015 à New York, sur la 52ème rue, et déjà une adresse de référence d’une ville qui ne se laisse pas facilement impressionner. Le camerounais Bona retente l’aventure dans son autre pays de cœur avec pour objectif de créer un club d’exception. « Comme je ne m’interdis rien, je me lance dans cette nouvelle aventure du Nubia et c’est excitant » confie-t-il. Après une ouverture réussie le mois dernier en compagnie de Manu Katché, Richard Bona s’invite ce mois-ci pour notre plus grand bonheur dans sa propre programmation. Il sera pour deux soirs et quatre concerts à la tête de l’irrésistible projet cubain Mandekan Cubano de son album Heritage. A noter aussi dès à présent la date du 24 mai, en compagnie du guitariste Lionel Loueke et de la délicieuse chanteuse Céline Rudolph, pour prolonger la sortie de leur récent album Obsession.
