Richard Galliano et l’Orchestre Lamoureux sont de vieilles connaissances. L’historique phalange rendue célèbre par Igor Markevitch et Yutaka Sado fut en effet la première des formations symphoniques parisiennes à convier notre grand accordéoniste national à la fin des années 90 à la Salle Pleyel. Ils se retrouvent aujourd’hui pour deux concerts exceptionnels qui donneront à entendre deux œuvres de la plume du maître : l’Opale Concerto, composé en 1994, et une œuvre nouvelle, récemment créée au Phénix de Valenciennes et enregistrée sur le nouvel album du percussionniste Jean-François Durez par l’orchestre Valentiana (sur le label indéSENS) : Jeux de l’âme, concerto pour accordéon, percussions (vibraphone) et orchestre à cordes. Puis dans une veine moins stimulante les Lamoureux placés sous la direction de Laurent Gossaert interprèteront au même programme la Symphonique Suite pour Flûte et Jazz Piano Trio (dans un arrangement de Jean-François Rougé) de Claude Bolling et une transcription pour accordéon de deux mouvements du Concerto pour clarinette de Mozart. Avec Benoît Fromanger (flûte) et un « jazz trio » composé d’Erik Berchot, au piano, Pierre Maingourd à la contrebasse et Vincent Cordelette à la batterie.
