On connaît les thématiques qui traversent son œuvre, principalement autour de la matière : Odile Duboc possède le talent de mettre en corps et en mouvement l’eau, la terre, le feu comme unique matière chorégraphique. Rien ne laisse présager de l’état de l’eau est un essai sur l’état liquide dans toutes ses évolutions, tantôt eaux troubles, jets torrentiels, fluides élans… Chez Duboc, nul besoin de se méfier de l’eau : le spectateur entre de plain-pied dans son univers, tout à son émerveillement devant cette débauche de mouvement. Le spectacle s’appuie également sur un univers lumineux et coloré très fouillé, faisant de cet opus une expérience sensorielle totale. La beauté et l’évidence d’une danse abstraite qui prend corps dans la masse des dix danseurs et réserve de surprenants moments de folie et de poésie.
