LYRIQUE, ORCHESTRE SYMPHONIQUE / BASILIQUE
Bien que né en Seine-Saint-Denis, à Clichy-sous-Bois, notre charismatique ténor national ne s’était encore jamais produit au Festival de Saint-Denis. Ce sera chose faite avec ce concert d’ouverture très attendu. En compagnie de David Giménez à la tête de l’Orchestre national d’Île-de-France, Roberto Alagna interprètera dans la Basilique quelques airs sacrés célèbres comme l’Ave Maria de Franz Schubert ou le Panis angelicus de César Franck. Sa voix résonnera également dans l’opéra français, un répertoire dans lequel sa diction excelle, avec des extraits du Cid de Massenet. Elle s’épanouira enfin dans l’opéra allemand, avec plusieurs airs de Lohengrin. Un rôle récent dans sa riche et longue carrière puisque ses débuts wagnériens datent seulement de fin 2020 à l’Opéra d’État de Berlin, à huis clos en raison de la crise sanitaire.
