Ils sont trois. Marceline, coquetterie plantureuse et formes généreuses serties par d’improbables costumes, se rêve en diva bariolée, chante, jongle et danse avec une savante maladresse en guise de grâce. Le sourire solidement collé au visage et la mine bêtement innocente, Zaza plante son rire moqueur au cœur du public à petits coups d’habiletés musicales et de simples numéros, redoutablement efficaces. Et puis il y a Sylvestre, maître de cérémonie, charlatan ébouriffé qui voudrait bien être sérieux et rigoureusement professionnel, mais court toujours au désastre. Français ou catalans, les trois compères sillonnent les routes depuis trente ans, lancés sur les chemins de traverse de la vie saltimbanque dans l’élan des années 80, sur les traces des pionniers du « nouveau cirque ».
Tradition clownesque
Chutes, claques, coups et culbutes en tout genre : Los Excentricos reprend les classiques du clown, enchaînés au rythme effréné d’une fantaisie débridée. Le trio raffole des situations extravagantes, des mimiques éculées et des gags ringards, y mêle à plaisir des jongleries acrobatiques, des contorsions ou des équilibres avec des assiettes chinoises. Rococo Bananas, leur dernier opus, coule de la même veine. Marceline Zaza et Silvestre mènent le jeu en suivant le fil de la musique, composée en direct par assemblage d’instruments plus loufoques les uns que les autres : une scie musicale, une serpillière transformée en basse électrique, des concertinas, bandonéons et ukulélés sont autant de prétextes à s’amuser.
