L’un souvent est multiple, confronte en son for intérieur les divers éclats et bris de vie qui composent le bois de l’être. Dans Rupture, Simon Abbé explore les failles que creusent au cœur la fin de l’amour et l’absence de l’autre. « Duo pour un danseur » : c’est ainsi que le chorégraphe camerounais présente son solo. Il y évoque les premiers frémissements de la rencontre, la douceur du désir, l’espoir de ne former plus qu’un, et puis la déchirure, la distance qui s’immisce dans le couple, la dualité en soi, quand le masculin se conjugue avec le féminin. Danseur hip-hop virtuose, sacré quatre fois champion dans son pays, passé ensuite par le Ballet national du Cameroun, Simon Abbé dessine un univers où bruissent les histoires de sa ville, où les teintes sonores de Björk, l’oud jazzy de Dhafer Youssef ou une tarentelle revisitée jouxtent un morceau de sa composition. Autant de façon de dévoiler l’intime d’une identité toujours fragmentaire.
