Le branle-bas de combat au sujet du centenaire du Sacre du Printemps aura agité bien des projets, chacun pouvant célébrer la musique de Stravinsky ou la chorégraphie de Nijinski de sa propre relecture. Dominique Brun, bien qu’au cœur de l’actualité, échappe en quelque sorte à cette règle. Sa vision du Sacre, qu’elle revendique pourtant comme sienne, est si profondément ancrée dans l’œuvre de 1913 qu’elle en devient une sorte de reflet, comme revu à travers un miroir dépoli par les années. L’attachement à la question de la trace et de la source, au cœur de sa démarche, fait pour beaucoup dans ce sentiment de déjà-vu.
Un spectacle comme un puissant révélateur
Cependant, la pièce qui surgit de ce travail de chercheur et d’historien se révèle comme une véritable offensive au passé : le XXIème siècle agit comme un révélateur d’images coriaces servies sur une magnifique composition musicale de Juan Pablo Carreño. Le martèlement se fait sourd, ouvrant l’espace à la violence du rituel. A l’intérieur, les danseurs se distinguent d’une communauté en mouvement par de brillants solos, et par des courses et attitudes contrariées par la prégnance de la posture. De réminiscences en impressions, la pièce invente un Sacre qui reconfigure les passions et réactive les tensions dans un grondement profond.
