Venu à la scène pour dire les mots des poètes, Laurent Fréchuret les a mis en scène pendant dix ans avec sa compagnie le Théâtre de l’Incendie. Dix ans pendant lesquels il a écrit le versant solitaire de cette aventure collective, en forme de journal devenu matériau dramatique dont il confie aujourd’hui le récit à la comédienne Laurence Vielle. Ces touches, fragments, impressions, « pas vraiment des idées, mais plutôt quelques obsessions, et leurs variations » s’organisent autour de la figure de Jeanne, cette femme presque enfant qui réussit à faire couronner un roi en s’entourant d’hommes qui la suivirent dans cette impérieuse et fraternelle nécessité qui réunit ceux que le ciel illumine. A l’instar d’un chef de troupe ou d’un animateur de théâtre organisant l’aventure qui doit mener à l’embrasement spectaculaire. Jeanne est donc ici « un prétexte, un alibi » pour rendre hommage à cette utopie combattante qu’est l’art de la scène où flamboie le buisson ardent de la poésie.
