Saison musicale des Invalides avec l’ensemble Les Surprises et l’Orchestre de la Garde républicaine

La programmation très ouverte de la saison musicale des Invalides se déploie en différents cycles dont celui, commencé la saison dernière, célébrant le Bicentenaire de la mort de Napoléon, ou encore une série de concerts évoquant les relations de Watteau avec la musique pour le 300ème anniversaire de la mort du peintre français en 1721. Deux concerts se distinguent dans l’actualité du mois. D’abord celui de l’Orchestre de la Garde républicaine dirigé par François Boulanger dans des œuvres de Karol Beffa (né en 1973) dont son Tombeau de Napoléon pour chœur et orchestre (commande du musée de l’Armée), joué en création mondiale, puis dans le Requiem de Mozart, interprété lors de la cérémonie du retour des cendres de l’Empereur aux Invalides le 15 décembre 1840 (le 15/11 à 20h). Une semaine plus tard, on retiendra l’interprétation idéale de l’opéra-ballet Les Éléments de Michel-Richard Delalande et (surtout) André-Cardinal Destouches, par l’ensemble Les Surprises dirigé par Louis-Noël Bestion de Camboulas, qui a signé de l’ouvrage un enregistrement remarquable en 2016. L’œuvre a été créée en 1721 au Palais des Tuileries à une époque où les artistes, les musiciens mais aussi les peintres, dont Watteau, se plaisaient à revisiter la mythologie gréco-romaine.
