Et pourtant, Vincent Mantsoe se démarque des autres démarches artistiques en se réclamant d’une danse qualifiée d’afro–fusion. Descendant d’une famille de guérisseurs, il connaît les cérémonies les plus secrètes, les rituels d’ordre sacré. Il a su se frotter également aux danses de rue – dont le pantsula – avant de se lancer dans des formes totalement nouvelles, issues des arts martiaux ou des danses traditionnelles balinaises. Comment transmettre quelque chose de ses traditions sans en abîmer le caractère sacré ? Pour cette création, il s’inspire des pratiques des chasseurs-cueilleurs plus connus sous le nom de bushmen,en se nourrissant d’une musique inspirée d’un grand poète persan. Il puise dans des langages ancestraux tout en s’enrichissant de tous les signes du temps et de l’ouverture au monde d’aujourd’hui.
