Loin de l’ambiance enfumée et étriquée des clubs de jazz de la capitale, le trio belge Aka Moon et son leader le saxophoniste Fabrizio Cassol investissent le cadre bucolique et paisible de l’Abbaye de Royaumont, avec la complicité de leur compatriote Fabian Fiorini au piano, pour une expérience musicale sans précédent : puiser dans le foisonnement des Sonates pour clavier du compositeur napolitain la matière d’un « Scarlatti Book ». Il faut dire que ces pièces merveilleuses de Domenico Scarlatti recèlent mille trouvailles et excentricités rythmiques et harmoniques, mille parfums méditerranéens aussi, propices à l’imagination, la réinterprétation et la transformation. Un nouveau projet qui s’inscrit dans la continuité des adaptations précédentes de Fabrizio Cassol, comme VSPRS, inspiré par Monteverdi ou Pitié ! créé à partir de la Passion selon Saint Matthieu de Bach. Puristes baroques s’abstenir. Avec Michel Hatzigeorgiou (guitare basse) et Stéphane Galland (batterie) d’Aka Moon.
