Révélé en 2004 lors du Concours international de Jazz de La Défense où il fait une razzia sur le palmarès (1er prix de composition, 2e prix d’orchestre, deux prix de solistes), Sébastien Jarrousse est aussi le saxophoniste de la très remarquée pièce de théâtre musical « A Love Supreme » en hommage à John Coltrane… Il signe aujourd’hui l’album le plus important de sa trajectoire de valeur sûre de la génération des 30-40 ans du jazz français : « Wait and see » enregistré en quartet avec Pierre-Alain Goualch au piano, Matthieu Chazarenc à la batterie, Mauro Gargano à la contrebasse. « Une musique improvisée résolument contemporaine » pour reprendre les termes du saxophoniste qui revisite toujours et encore l’héritage insondable de son grand maître John Coltrane.
