La Compagnie Emilie Valantin et le Quatuor Debussy ont eu la bonne idée en 2012 de faire se rencontrer un conte populaire ancien revisité par Charles Perrault, l’un des textes les moins connus des Contes de ma mère l’Oye, « Riquet à la houppe », et le trésor musical des Quatuors de Haydn. Un échange qui a donné vie à ce spectacle rare, réflexion sur l’injustice de la naissance en ce bas monde qui distribue inégalement beauté et esprit, où les musiciens se font comédiens et parfois même les marionnettes musiciennes… Interprète et metteuse en scène, Emilie Valantin a souhaité, tout en le fragmentant pour y faire entrer la musique, conserver la quasi intégralité du texte, respectant la grâce et le charme de la belle langue du 17ème siècle…
