Le théâtre de Célestins choisit pour inaugurer ce festival international des artistes européens aux prises avec le passé et le présent du monde, revisitant l’Histoire, l’altérité et la frontière à travers une démarche esthétique singulière permettant d’aiguiser les regards et les consciences. Pour commencer un artiste polonais, jan Klata, s’attaquant au sujet des territoires allemands devenus polonais suite aux accords de Yalta et Postdam, qui entraînèrent le déplacement forcé de millions d’Allemands remplacés par des Polonais. Transfer ! est fondé sur des témoignages et met en scène avec les témoins trois acteurs professionnels interprétant Roosevelt, Churchill et Staline. De l’autre côté, comédie douce-amère de Natasa Rajkovic et Bobo Jelcic, natifs des Balkans, met en scène l’imbrication des frontières physiques et mentales. Le Russe Dmitry Krymov est salué par la critique pour « son sens de l’espace à couper le souffle ». Il explore dans le diptyque Opus 7, – Généalogie et Chostakovitch -, le destin du peuple juif et l’antisémitisme d’état sous Staline à travers le parcours de Chostakovitch.
Mémoire moscovite
Je pense à vous, épisode XX de Didier Ruiz met en lumière à travers des témoins la mémoire moscovite des années 30 à 60. Ashura des Turcs Mustafa et Ovül Avkiran fait entendre avec nostalgie toute la diversité culturelle aujourd’hui révolue de la Turquie. Sivas 93 du Turc Genco Erkal revient sur l’incendie volontaire d’un hôtel dans une ville d’Anatolie par une foule manipulée par les islamistes, où trente-cinq personnes périrent. Quant à la compagnie afghane du Théâtre Aftaab, née en 2005 suite à une session de travail pour comédiens à Kaboul initiée par Ariane Mnouchkine, ensuite invitée à Paris par le Théâtre du Soleil en 2006 pour compléter sa formation, elle revient aujourd’hui avec deux spectacles, une création collective, Ce jour-là, et Le Tartuffe de Molière, deux mises en scène par Hélène Cinque, accueillies aussi au théâtre de l’Aquarium à Paris du 7 au 13 septembre. Autre spectacle franco-afghan, Sœurs, pièce inédite de Fabrice Melquiot, dans une mise en scène de Corinne Jaber avec de jeunes comédiennes afghanes, où trois sœurs se donnent secrètement rendez-vous dans un jardin en Afghanistan afin de monter une pièce écrite par l’une d’entre elles, déclarant l’insurrection. Comme le prouve ce florilège de pièces ancrées dans le réel et l’Histoire, soutenues par d’audacieuses esthétiques, ce festival est appelé à rayonner sur tout le territoire !
