A l’occasion de la parution d’un nouvel enregistrement, Shani Diluka retrouve d’abord sur scène le discret mais magistral Valentin Erben. Formé en partie au CNSM de Paris (auprès d’André Navarra en particulier) de 1965 à 1968, il fonde dès son retour à Vienne l’année suivante, à l’occasion de sa rencontre avec Günter Pichler, le Quatuor Alban Berg. Une formation légendaire qui marquera de son empreinte, à travers des lectures très engagées et intenses, un vaste répertoire de Mozart à la musique de notre temps. Un horizon musical qui passe évidemment par Beethoven, dont les Berg ont enregistré une magistrale intégrale des quatuors chez EMI. Rien d’étonnant dès lors que ce soit autour des partitions du « Maître de Bonn » que Shani Diluka, beethovénienne dans l’âme, engage le dialogue avec son aîné. Leur intégrale des œuvres pour violoncelle et piano, à paraître prochainement, est des plus attendues… Deux mois plus tard, dans la même salle, où par bonheur elle joue régulièrement, la pianiste monégasque d’origine sri-lankaise abordera la musique de Brahms entourée du Quatuor Ébène.
