La jeune Claire (Marion Monier au maintien juste), l’héroïne enfantine et douloureuse de Si tu me regardes, j’existe, pièce écrite par l’auteur et metteuse en scène Francesca Volchitza Cabrini, souffre d’inappétence, elle se refuse à toute nourriture, malgré ou à cause de la présence vigilante de ses parents, maladroits dans leur amour. En elle, vivent des voix toniques et des regards pétillants indifférenciés, projetés et incarnés sur le plateau par Vanessa Bile-Audouard, Charlotte Victoire Legrain et Giada Melley. C’est que la fillette, esseulée volontaire et recluse dans sa chambre, est encline à nourrir un idéal, une vanité qui donne à rêver dans la préservation folle de son image immaculée que le temps n’aurait pas touchée, arrêtée éternellement au stade de l’enfance où la seule référence reste parentale. On ne grandit pas, on ne grossit pas, et pour faire taire le corps, on ne l’alimente plus, on est « un croisement de femme et d’enfant ». Claire se ferme aux saveurs du monde tandis qu’elle sait qu’une vie, la sienne, est en train de s’écouler dans le drame. Or, la prise de conscience est annonciatrice de guérison, l’adolescente se libérera.
Posture figée
En attendant, au cœur de ce désastre existentiel, une litanie obsessionnelle hante celle qui s’empêche de vivre : être belle et bonne, saine, intelligente et judicieuse, soit la perfection céleste ou la fleur de l’idéal vers quoi tend abstraitement toute jeune fille. Mais l’idée d’un bonheur interrompu dans le temps dont il faudrait se ressaisir, le paradis de l’enfance enfuie, ne se conçoit qu’en esprit, hors de la perception des sens et du temps qui passe. La déception est le lot de ceux qui espèrent trop, comme le dit Proust : « … à l’attente de l’être idéal que nous aimons, chaque rendez-vous nous apporte, en réponse, une personne de chair qui tient si peu déjà de notre rêve… » Il s’agit en l’occurrence pour Claire, de la figure incarnée de soi-même qui l’insupporte. Dans le dégoût inspiré des réalités, la tension du désir se révèle être un fardeau pesant qui grève le désir d’absolu et d’éternité. Sur le plateau, jouées par la très grande jeunesse des comédiennes, les figures désordonnées de la vie se déclinent, elles ébranlent et déstabilisent la posture figée de l’adolescente. Dans l’opposition systématique à sa silhouette fragile inaccomplie, éclatent dans la fureur et le fracas les conseils acidulés, les injonctions rudes, les voix cinglantes de Claire elle-même et de ses parents. Ce temps de cauchemar restitué gagnerait à user d’une gamme plus variée sur le piano des émotions.
