Depuis sept ans, François Laroche-Valière travaille à Projet 2 avenues, qui questionne la notion de « processus de création » et son objectif ultime, à savoir la réalisation d’un « objet fini » : le spectacle. Au lieu de présenter uniquement une forme achevée, le chorégraphe expose l’œuvre comme un processus au long cours, dont chaque étape est à la fois une ébauche et une fraction. L’œuvre en question se construit dans une succession de cycles, qui s’enchaînent et se chevauchent. Ces cycles se sont échelonnés de 2002 jusqu’à aujourd’hui, ponctués de présentations publiques et de rencontres avec des médias et des expressions divers : poésie, philosophie, vidéo, son, arts plastiques… Une création toujours en devenir.
Une signature dansée
Signature (solo) est une pièce créée pour Julien Monty, interprète de la compagnie Studio Laroche-Valière, qui a pris part à l’intégralité des étapes du Projet 2 avenues. Ce solo vient parachever ce projet, réfléchissant sur la notion de signature d’une œuvre. Comment signe-t-on une œuvre ? Et qu’est-ce qu’une signature en danse ? C’est l’occasion de remettre en jeu l’ensemble des matériaux du projet : comme le constate François Laroche-Valière, « la matière et l’écriture du Projet 2 avenues forment à elles seules, dans leur continuum et leur exercice, une signature – une signature-chemin – comme toute écriture est un style, un sillon, un stylet. »
