Sirba Octet
KLEZMER / CHATENAY-MALABRY
C’est en 2003 que le violoniste Richard Schmoucler donne naissance, avec quelques amis musiciens issus des meilleurs symphoniques parisiennes (l’Orchestre de Paris, en particulier), à son Sirba Octet. Son idée ? Faire émerger un ensemble d’un type nouveau voué à l’exploration de la musique Klezmer dans un projet exigeant et savant devant beaucoup à l’univers de la musique classique. Dans le programme « A Yiddishe Mame » conçu comme un voyage au cœur de l’âme Yiddish et tzigane, Richard Schmoucler évoque le souvenir d’une musique qui conserve le « parfum de ma mère et des réunions de famille au cours desquelles ma grand-mère et mes tantes nous réclamaient à mon père et à moi-même de leur jouer ces airs yiddish qui avaient bercé leur jeunesse. N’ayant pas de partition, elle nous fredonnaient un air que nous reprenions à la guitare et au violon. J’ai voulu partager avec le public ces moments de joie et d’échange, ces liens d’amour que la musique tissait entre nous au rythme des danses et des mélodies » confie le leader nostalgique de ce Sirba Octet dont il ne faut négliger aucune des apparitions sur scène.
