Théâtre Studio / de Mike Davis / Thierry Bedard
Depuis plus de vingt ans, Thierry Bedard travaille sur des thématiques explorant les désordres et les violences du monde. Son dernier cycle, « notoire la menace », met en lumière l’autre, exclu et relégué dans une misère totale, dans des bidonvilles qui comptent plus d’un milliard de personnes. Le problème est explosif, l’espérance de vie y est très courte et chaque année vingt-cinq millions de personnes rejoignent ces zones d’extrême dénuement. Un habitant d’un bidonville de Bagdad décrit sa vie comme « une demi-mort »… Inspiré par l’ouvrage Planet of Slums du sociologue américain Mike Davis, Thierry Bedard a créé un spectacle musical au son rock porté par la guitare de Jean Grillet et la voix de Mélanie Menu. Histoires édifiantes, violentes, parfois drôles… Dépassant les oppositions sémantiques commodes et simplificatrices, Thierry Bedard dissèque les faits sociaux et les dangers pour alerter notre humanité.
