« Au début, c’était presque simple : il s’agissait de jouer à deux sur le même violon en même temps, avec deux archets. Du piano à quatre mains avec un violon, en quelque sorte », remarquent Benji Bernard et Étienne Borel. Mais être à la fois le même et l’autre ne peut rester simple qu’au début ! Il faut ensuite parler d’une seule voix à deux, et travailler les corps pour synchroniser les gestes conscients et inconscients. Le résultat aboutit à l’interprétation éblouissante d’une partition minutieusement orchestrée, où les deux artistes s’accordent, se désaccordent, s’assemblent et se confondent. Appliquant l’art du cirque aux objets avec lesquels ils jonglent, jouant aussi avec les mots et la musique, voire avec l’inattendu et l’immatériel, les deux Argonautes, tels les Dioscures Castor et Pollux, toujours ensemble et toujours séparés, se jouent des limites de l’identité et l’interroge avec humour.
