Une jolie ouverture avec des corps tout en dédoublement, comme issus d’un rêve, une scénographie mouvante et porteuse de sensations… Les premières images passées, c’est la douche froide : le spectacle, qui « évoque les déséquilibres de notre écosystème » se poursuit en une succession de tableaux (le feu, le vent, l’eau, la glace, la cendre…) où des danseurs virtuoses rivalisent de force voire d’acrobaties pour exister. Une incongruité, qui place la danse à l’endroit du beau et de la technique, au détriment d’un corps signifiant. A quel moment la danse traite-t-elle du sujet, quand se débattre contre le vent – gros ventilos à l’appui – engendre un porté avec grand écart et pointes de pied tendues ?
Du beau ? A quoi bon !
Hélas, le contexte joue contre la chorégraphe. On pense à la violence d’Irma, au séisme qui a secoué le Mexique, et que voit-on ? Des séquences kitchissimes où l’on bande ses muscles, où l’on fait mine de grelotter quand le décor se mue en paysage glaciaire, ou d’avoir soif lorsqu’il devient dune. Le spectacle, sous un déluge de danse et d’images, offre une chorégraphie totalement inconséquente, passant à côté des enjeux de son sujet, comme de son rôle en tant qu’art. Dommage, pour une pièce que Blanca Li définit elle-même comme sa « plus engagée ». Le public, quant à lui, en redemande…
