Situé au cœur de la ville, l’espace cirque d’Antony concrétise le projet du Théâtre Firmin Gémier et des villes d’Antony et de Châtenay-Malabry autour des arts du cirque. Pour le festival, d’autres lieux (cour d’école, parc, marché…) s’associent au rayonnement des artistes dans un esprit d’ouverture à tous, de plaisir, et de convivialité. Sous forme d’installation et de performance, c’est Djama Buren Cirque qui ouvre et crée l’événement : par la forme du spectacle, par les personnalités qui composent l’équipe artistique (le fameux plasticien Daniel Buren, Fabien et Dan Demuynck, Hassane K Kouyaté, Philippe Nahon…), la déambulation mélange allègrement les genres, les influences, les disciplines, dans un lien étroit entre le cirque et les arts populaires africains.
Imagerie traditionnelle et cirque contemporain
Très attendue, la nouvelle création de Christophe Huysman est une pièce courte pour trois acrobates et un agrès d’un nouveau genre. Le Mâtitube s’apparente au mât chinois comme à la balance, et propose un jeu aérien propice à la chute, l’envol, et la performance. Christophe Huysman, tout autant homme de théâtre et de cirque, propose des spectacles où l’équilibre des choses est en constante instabilité. Aux côtés de la compagnie des Hommes Penchés, estampillée laboratoire mobile, Carte Blanche est donnée à 2 rien merci, collectif tourné vers la rencontre entre les arts du cirque et les arts de la rue. Cela se passe au Village des Entresorts, composé de deux chapiteaux et d’un théâtre de foire, au sein du Parc du Souvenir Français de Châtenay-Malabry. Leurs interventions (Moulin Cabot, Gramoulinophone, et Chez Monsieur Rouille) convoquent un imaginaire très fourni autour de personnages de toutes sortes et d’un bestiaire métallico-poétique. Des histoires pour petits et grands qui revisitent l’imagerie du cirque, et font de ce village une enclave poétique et burlesque dans ce temps fort dédié à la création.
