Dans un texte bâti autour de cinq grandes scènes dont la dramaturgie demande aux acteurs de réécrire en partie chaque soir leur propre histoire, Gianina Carbunariu interpelle notre époque en en présentant une vision corrosive qui se veut autant un voyage dans l’écriture qu’une exploration des rives marécageuses entre lesquelles l’Histoire charrie ses victimes. Couteaux, seringues, écrans de télévision et réseaux virtuels : les armes inventées par l’oublieux aujourd’hui pour dépecer et anéantir l’humain ont sans doute la même efficacité que celles des barbaries passées : il est à parier que les nouvelles du futur sont aussi émétiques que des hoquets ou des renvois du passé le plus indigeste. La barbarie est le costume du réel grimaçant que Gianina Carbunariu dissèque en son théâtre efficace et lucide. Christian Benedetti orchestre les mots et cristallise les situations de cette écriture qui puise dans la modernité ses thèmes et sa forme pour en dévoiler l’essence et en éprouver le risque.
