Théâtre du Girasole / Mise en scène Yi QU
L’opéra Kunqu combine jeu d’acteur, chants, ballet et mime. Extrêmement codifié, littéraire et sophistiqué, il fut l’art dramatique le plus populaire dans la Chine du XVIe siècle et connaît aujourd’hui une remarquable renaissance. Dans Sortilège – Cuivre d’Asie, la jeune metteuse en scène Yi QU mêle cette discipline traditionnelle à de la musique électronique et de la danse contemporaine occidentale. Pour créer cette œuvre hautement pluridisciplinaire, elle s’associe les talents de Legeng ZHU, pionnier internationalement reconnu de l’art contemporain de la porcelaine. Ses séries de lotus, qui ont largement inspiré Yi QU, servent de délicat décor à cette pièce dont il est également le directeur artistique. Tous deux, s’appuyant sur la grande force symbolique de cette fleur qui parvient à s’extraire de la vase sans rien perdre de sa pureté ni de sa beauté, souhaitent avec ce spectacle inviter le public à une réflexion sur la nécessité de dépasser nos sociétés industrialisées et l’extrême pollution qu’elles entraînent, pour s’élever vers un avenir réconciliant nature et humanité.
