Véritable laboratoire de recherche et de création ancré à Caen et dans le territoire du Calvados, privilégiant les écritures contemporaines à travers notamment des temps d’échanges nourris avec les auteurs, le Panta-Théâtre, co-dirigé par Véro Dahuron et Guy Delamotte, questionne sans relâche le rapport des hommes aux autres et au monde d’aujourd’hui, et interroge aussi le passage de l’écriture dramaturgique au plateau, un cheminement toujours semé d’inattendu et d’ajustements. La pièce Soudaine Timidité des crépuscules, mise en scène par Guy Delamotte, a été commandée par le théâtre à l’auteur et metteur en scène Frédéric Sonntag. Dans ce spectacle pour deux circassiens (jonglage-trapèze) et deux acteurs, le dramaturge considère la pratique circassienne comme « une écriture à part entière » conditionnant le texte et les formes de représentation, et tisse « un étrange état » mêlant les univers et les rythmes du cirque et du théâtre. Le point de départ a été l’envie de plonger au cœur du territoire normand à l’écoute de ses habitants. Le fantastique surgit ici au cœur de la réalité et remet en cause un quotidien connu, ritualisé et sans surprises. Ce dérèglement fait lien avec la présence perturbante, renversante et mystérieuse du cirque… De quoi débrider l’imaginaire et bousculer les logiques narratives.
