La Manufacture / d’Abdulrahman Khallouf / mes Amre Sawah
C’est à l’Institut Supérieur d’Arts dramatiques de Damas, à la fin des années 1990, que se sont rencontrés le metteur en scène Amre Sawah et l’auteur Abdulrahman Khallouf. C’est à Bordeaux, où l’écrivain a immigré en 2002, que les deux amis se retrouvent lorsqu’Amre Sawah décide, lui aussi, de fuir la guerre. Fruit de leur complicité artistique et du destin dramatique que partagent les deux hommes, Sous le pont est construit à partir d’histoires réelles. Des histoires qui prennent corps le temps d’une nuit, à travers une succession de rencontres faites par Jamal, jeune réfugié syrien vivant sous un pont. Interprétée par Homam Afaara, Sébastien Laurier, Virginie Bergeon, Farhan Dahi et Issam Al Khatib, cette pièce d’inspiration autobiographique questionne la condition des exilés. Elle met également en lumière l’indifférence des sociétés occidentales tiraillées par leurs contradictions.
