Avec Spiegel (« Miroir »), Wim Vandekeybus s’offre une introspection, un retour sur lui-même mis en chantier par des danseurs dont certains n’étaient pas là il y a vingt ans. En épurant, en se débarrassant du superficiel pour ne laisser la parole qu’aux corps, le chorégraphe propose bien plus qu’un melting-pot : il donne à voir une plongée sans fard dans la brutalité de son écriture, laissant libre cours à l’urgence de danser. Ayant traversé la création depuis la fin des années 80, il affirme plus encore aujourd’hui sa position de chorégraphe de l’extrême, dans un mouvement toujours poussé plus loin, plus fort. Les situations physiques singulières qu’il sait imaginer pour chaque spectacle sont reprises ici, décontextualisées, habitées d’une abstraction nouvelle. Spiegel n’est pas une création, mais une soirée infiniment dansée, pour dire l’urgence à créer, l’urgence à rêver le monde et à penser le corps comme première riposte.
