Devant la projection muette, en fond de scène, du film Rocky III, Clotilde Hesme nous raconte au micro l’histoire de Lise, personnage central d’une nouvelle de l’écrivaine Emmanuèle Bernheim (1955-2017). Cette secrétaire médicale âgée de 25 ans, après avoir vu le troisième opus du blockbuster interprété par Sylvester Stallone, décide de suivre l’exemple du boxeur Rocky Balboa. Elle remet en jeu le cours de son existence en se lançant pour défi de reprendre ses études de médecine. Accompagnée en direct par le créateur sonore et musicien Pascal Sangla, la comédienne donne corps et voix à un spectacle entre « poétique du combat, éloge de la persévérance et nostalgie assumée de la contre-culture pop des années 1980 », un spectacle qui « pose avec humour la question de l’influence d’une œuvre dans la construction de nos destins ».
