« La culture en Afrique se transmettait essentiellement par l’oralité, des plus vieux aux plus jeunes. Après le passage de la colonisation et de l’urbanisation des pays, la chaîne s’est rompue. Aujourd’hui nous nous devons en urgence d’inventorier et de redynamiser nos cultures afin de passer aux générations qui suivent un patrimoine culturel vivace qui puisse les guider dans les méandres de la globalisation. » Infatigable chercheur de sons, Ray Lema n’a cessé de creuser un sillon original depuis son entrée en musiques voici plus d’un demi-siècle. C’est encore le cas avec ce projet où l’esthète des claviers, de retour au pays après plus de trois décennies, convie toutes les générations et identités pour une aventure transculturelle qui invente un autre futur en conjuguant l’énergie de la scène urbaine et l’originalité de la tradition.
