Après les recréations de Shazam et de Solo, Philippe Decouflé revient à la scène avec Stéréo, une pièce inédite pour cinq danseurs circassiens et trois musiciens. Cet enfant du rock, de Tex Avery, d’Oskar Schlemmer et de Merce Cunningham s’inspire cette fois de l’île de La Réunion, découverte lors d’une tournée de la Compagnie DCA. Une plage, un homme, une femme, deux corps échoués sur une île déserte tels Sean Connery et Ursula Andress. « Il la réveille, duo d’approche ». Puis dans de multiples variantes qui déjouent les stéréotypes la scène se répète en boucle, Un jour sans fin.

Ensuite Philippe Decouflé parle d’une danse claire « qui accueille l’acrobatie comme un complément jouissif et spectaculaire », de l’entrée de trois musiciens, de chants funèbres hawaïens qu’accompagnent quelques chansons françaises et des standards de rock, d’une déclinaison d’images de couples et de situations amoureuses, d’une énergie brute, explosive. Un voyage plein de promesses et de délicieuse fantaisie.
