C’est l’histoire d’une jeune fille que l’on a appelée Miss Mae. Elle veut faire du strip-tease, elle veut faire du théâtre. Elle joue avec le public, cherche à aller jusqu’à la nudité, celle qui lui fait peur, celle qui questionne le désir, le sien comme celui de ceux qui la regarde. Pourquoi Miss Mae se déshabille-t-elle ? A quoi joue-t-elle ? Que cherche-t-elle ? « Elle cherche le corps, révèle Cédric Orain, jusqu’à l’épuisement, jusqu’au dernier souffle. Et au bout d’une danse éreintante, elle pose son corps nu devant tous comme le miroir de ce qu’un spectateur serait peut-être venu chercher. » En créant un dialogue entre le strip-tease et le théâtre, l’auteur-metteur en scène tend ici à déterminer comment le strip-tease peut l’amener à inventer une forme de théâtre. Une forme de théâtre qui examine les fantasmes, les peurs et les douleurs que chacun peut ressentir face à la nudité.
