Atelier de Paris dans le cadre de Monuments en mouvement et du Festival d’Automne à Paris
En 2019, alors qu’elle finalise un livre sur la composition chorégraphique, Myriam Gourfink se souvient de ses parents s’élançant sur la piste de danse à l’occasion de bals, virevoltant au rythme de musiques rapides. Son esprit analytique la pousse alors à s’intéresser à l’élément central de toute danse de couple : le contrepoids. C’est ainsi que prend forme Structure Souffle, une pièce pour huit interprètes qui explore cette figure de l’équilibre, dans une chorégraphie solidaire, mouvante, élastique, en tension permanente. Comme toujours chez Myriam Gourfink, les mouvements des danseuses sont motivés et guidés par le souffle pour signifier le déploiement infini du corps invisible comme manière d’excéder le contour. La gestuelle, toujours soutenue par la respiration, devient houle, vague, le souffle devenant alors un élément presque palpable. Conçu pour s’adapter à différents contextes, Structure Souffle se déploiera dans la Sainte Chapelle du Château de Vincennes, un lieu magique permettant au spectateur d’avoir une vision multiple de la pièce.
