Se laisser glisser aux creux des sensations, s’abandonner au ressac d’une rêveuse errance. S’enfoncer au cœur de l’enfance, par-delà l’inconscience policée par les ans, par-delà l’oubli. Se perdre dans les murmures du temps et retrouver le suspens de l’instant présent. C’est là, au plus secret des souvenirs, que nous entraîne Cyril Teste avec Sun, conte poétiquequ’il dessine sur la trame d’un fait divers. C’était à Langenhagen, dans la banlieue de Hanovre, à l’aube du 1er janvier 2009. Mika, 6 ans, et Anna-Lena, 7 ans, unis par le hasard d’une famille recomposée, étaient partis pour l’Afrique. Ils s’aimaient et voulaient se marier sous le soleil, avec Anne-Bell, 5 ans, pour témoin. Lunettes de soleil, vêtements légers et provisions en bandoulière, ils avaient déjà marché un kilomètre à travers la ville endormie, pris le tramway jusqu’à la gare centrale ; ils attendaient la navette pour l’aéroport quand la police les repéra, les arrêta dans leur geste insensé.

« Si l’on rencontre l’enfant qu’on a été, que se passe-t-il ? Est-on à la hauteur de ses rêves, de ses espoirs, de ses désirs ? » Ces questions, nées à la lecture de cette histoire improbable, tracent la ligne claire d’une expérience sensorielle qui précipite chacun en son intime enfance. Auteur, metteur en scène, Cyril Teste crée ici un théâtre de sensations où la présence des très jeunes acteurs, l’atmosphère sonore, les mouvements de la scénographie, les images dessinées ou projetées façonnent un espace hors des temporalités ordinaires et plongent les sens dans un songe aux lisières du réel. Il cerne ce moment décisif où les enfants décident de partir, s’engagent dans le passage initiatique qui les mènera vers leur devenir adulte, se frottent aux questions essentielles. Si les premiers points du récit sont cousus un peu lâches, si le rythme cotonneux déroute, Sun emporte par sa liberté poétique. « Une heure n’est pas qu’une heure, c’est un vase rempli de parfums, de sons, de projets et de climats » notait Proust dans Le Temps retrouvé. Il faut juste se laisser aller dans les plis de la mémoire…
