Est-ce la grandeur ou la majesté de la Chapelle Fromentin qui ont habité et inspiré Kader Attou pour la réalisation de cette pièce ? Symfonia Piesni Zalosnych est née après l’arrivée du chorégraphe à la tête du Centre Chorégraphique National de La Rochelle, marquant l’arrivée symbolique du hip hop au plus haut niveau de l’institution. Le travail sur la partition de Gorecki, de bout en bout de la pièce, s’est révélé une véritable prise de risque dont le chorégraphe avait à la fois envie et besoin. Sorti de Petites Histoires.com, où son histoire personnelle rencontrait un joli conte burlesque, léger et plein de fantaisie, Kader Attou s’est ainsi jeté corps et âme dans l’inconnu d’une écriture traversé par les chants plaintifs et le chagrin du compositeur. Le chorégraphe livre une œuvre où les danseurs habitent le plateau par vagues, porteurs d’un mouvement commun aux multiples influences.
