Avec Symphonia Harmoniæ Cælestium Revelationum, François Chaignaud et Marie-Pierre Brébant invitent le public à une expérience contemplative. Jouant par cœur les chants grégoriens, riches et singuliers, composés au XIIème siècle par Hildegard Von Bingen, ils entendent illuminer notre présent et nous donner « accès à un monde disparu, à la fois magique et inaccessible ». Pour ce faire, ils se sont plongés dans les manuscrits de l’abbesse bénédictine mystique et les ont adaptés en une partition pour corps, voix et bandoura, un instrument d’origine ukrainienne dont le son évoque la harpe et la cithare. Cette performance, qu’ils vivent en aventuriers, elle serrant la bandoura contre sa poitrine, lui faisant vibrer sa voix, offre l’expérience d’un dépaysement mental, d’une traversée mystique.
